To understand how members use our directory and which local businesses are getting attention, the Jessie Approved website collects basic, anonymous engagement information when you use the site. This includes which business listings and buttons you interact with — for example opening a perk, viewing a business's map or website, tapping through to Instagram, running a search, or logging a visit — along with general technical details such as the page you are on, the page you came from, your device type, and the date and time.

To tell one visit apart from another, we store a randomly generated visitor identifier in your browser's local storage. This identifier is not linked to your name, email, or any personal account information; it simply lets us count distinct visits and sessions. You can remove it at any time by clearing your browser's site data, and you can manage cookies and similar storage through the cookie banner on our site and your browser settings.

We use this information only to improve our local business directory, decide which partners to feature, and create content. It is first-party data — we do not sell it or share it with advertising networks.

Separately from the anonymous visit counting described above, we use Google Analytics (GA4) and first-party analytics to understand site traffic and which perks members engage with. For anonymous visitors this is not linked to any personal information; for signed-in members, interaction events such as page paths and perk clicks are associated with your member account. It is used only to operate and improve Jessie Approved.

If you personalize your digital member card by entering a name, that name is part of your membership account within the member area and is not part of the anonymous analytics described above.

3. Payment Information

Jessie Approved uses third-party payment processors, such as Stripe, to process membership payments.

Jessie Approved does not store or have access to your full credit card number. Payment information is handled by the payment processor according to its own security and privacy practices.

We may be able to see limited transaction details, such as your name, email address, subscription status, billing amount, payment date, and limited card details such as the last four digits.
